National Week of Agriculture to Be Observed

The Ministry of Agriculture is putting plans in place to observe the national week of Agriculture with a focus on reducing the country’s food import bill and encouraging consumers to purchase more local products and foods.

Apart from dry weather conditions, local farmers continue to be challenged by limited sales and this will be an area of for National Agriculture Week 2014.

National Agricultural week will be observed on June 16th to 24th under the theme “promoting the utilization of local products for good living”.
