NEW EQUIPMENT BEING INSTALLED TO IMPROVE WATER PRODUCTION AT FORT JAMES RO PLANT

The APUA’s customers served by the Fort James Reverse Osmosis Plant are set to enjoy improved water supply in coming weeks.

An ultra-filtration unit is being installed at the facility, which will allow the utility to produce water, even when the seas are rough.

Turbid sea conditions have been the bane of the APUA since the plant started operating, often forcing a pause in desalination.

However, this is set to change when the APUA commissions the new system. Hilesha Humphreys reports.
