New Mobile Unit Is Commissioned On World Blood Donor Day
The Ministry of Health officially commissioned its mobile blood collection unit this morning, doing so fittingly on World Blood Donor Day.
The bloodmobile unit which cost 600 thousand EC dollars is a donation from the Blood and Transplant Division of the National Health Service (NHS) of the United Kingdom.
The unit represents a significant advance in the thrust to enable Antigua and Barbuda to establish a national blood transfusion service on island.
