NEWEST REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANT TO ADD TWO MILLION GALLONS OF WATER TO DAILY SUPPLY
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority says the country’s newest reverse osmosis plant is to be brought online next week.
The new plant has been constructed at Barnacle Point, next to the Ivan Rodrigues plant and will produce two million gallons of water per day.
It is the second plant to be installed by Florida-based Seven Seas Water Group, under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) agreement with the government.
This new plant is set to provide a welcome boost in water supply for several communities on the north of Antigua.
Utilities Minister, Hon. Melford Nicholas led officials on a tour of the new plant on Friday.
