Liberta Blackhawks had their wings clipped for a second match running when they were beaten by 4 wickets by hosts New Winthorpes Lions in the ABCA State Insurance Super 40.
New Winthorpes won the toss and asked the Blackhawks to take first strike.
They amassed 236 for 5 in their 40 overs with Avier Christian top-scoring with 90 before being run out.
Kofi James also scored a half-century, making 53 before being dismissed by opposing captain Nino Henry.
New Winthropes then cantered to victory, reaching 237 for 6 off 37.4 overs.
Captain Nino Henry took his side to victory with an unbeaten 52.
He spoke to ABS Sports’ Terry Andrew.
