NO INFORMATION OR INVESTIGATION LINKING A&B TO ‘CARIBBEAN NARCO ROUTES’ – SECURITY CHIEFS

The heads of the nation’s security forces are making it clear there is no information linking Antigua and Barbuda to the Caribbean narcotics trafficking route outlined in charges brought by the United States against deposed Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro.

The chiefs of the defence and police forces, as well as immigration and counter-drug agencies delivered a joint statement during a news conference at the Parliament Building Friday morning.

Their comments are in response to speculation in some quarters of the society in the wake of the whirlwind developments in Venezuela over the past week.
