NODS ASSURES OF PREPAREDNESS FOR ANY TSUNAMI THREATS

The National Office of Disaster Services has assured the country is prepared in the event of a threat from a tsunami, or large ocean wave usually caused by an underwater earthquake.

The issue of preparedness in the region has again been thrust into the spotlight following the recent tsunami threat in the Western Caribbean and Central America from a 7.6 magnitude earthquake.
