NSWMA INTENSIFIES MEASURES TO PREVENT FIRES AT COOKS LANDFILL

The National Solid Waste Management Authority has confirmed the fire which broke out last week on the road leading to the Cooks Landfill has been extinguished.
General Manager, Daryl Spencer explains it was a costly exercise to bring the fire under control and the price tag continues to increase.
He also explains the NSWMA is intensifying efforts to minimize the chances of a recurrence.
