OAS ADOPTS RESOLUTION SPEARHEADED BY ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

A resolution co-sponsored by Antigua and Barbuda and Guatemala was overwhelmingly approved by the Permanent Council of the Organisation of American States on Thursday.
The resolution raised alarm about the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and called for the immediate withdrawal of Russia’s military from the country.
It was adopted with 28 votes in favour and none against, the other 5 members abstained.
Among the countries in support was the United States.
