OFFICIALS REPORT PROGRESS ON REVITALIZATION OF PEANUT INDUSTRY

Peanut seeds have been secured from Barbuda as part of a crucial step to revitalize the crop.

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, IICA, and the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute, CARDI, have been instrumental in the effort.

In a nutshell, agriculture officials say the recovered peanut seeds will facilitate the transition from planning to planting.
