ONE OF THREE DETAINEES WHO ESCAPED FROM ST JOHN’S POLICE STATION STILL ON THE RUN

Dante Hunkins of a Golden Grove address is being sought by the police after he escaped from the St John’s Police Station lock-up over the weekend.

Police say Hunkins was one of three men who escaped custody around 5 Saturday afternoon. The other two were Devonjay Bird and Pete Cummings, both of Nut Grove.

Police confirm Bird and Cummings were recaptured on Monday, while Hunkins remains at large.

The two recaptured detainees are expected to face charges of Escaping Lawful Confinement, along with Malicious Damage, as police say an area of the cell was damaged during the escape.
