OPPOSITION LEADER COULD BE SUSPENDED AT NEXT SITTING
Opposition Leader, the Hon. Jamale Pringle may be suspended from parliament when the House of Representatives meets next week.
Pringle, the MP for All Saints East and St. Luke, walked out of parliament May 14 after he was prevented from making a personal explanation.
During the incident, the opposition leader hurled accusations at House Speaker, Sir Gerald Watt.
In an exclusive interview with ABS News, Sir Gerald says he might initiate a procedure that may lead to the Opposition Leader’s suspension from parliament for the rest of the year.
The house would then take a vote on the matter deciding whether to suspend the member.
The speaker says he’ll take advice and decide whether to raise the matter in parliament.
