OPPOSITION LEADER RESPONDS TO REPORTS HIS COMPANY IS ENMESHED IN DUTY-FREE SCHEME

Opposition leader Hon. Jamale Pringle is responding to reports his company, Wadadli Events Services, obtained a vehicle through a full-duty waiver, though the environmental levy cannot legally be waived.

Pringle neither confirmed nor denied the claims but instead said he wants to know how he’s being linked to the controversy surrounding the government’s vehicle procurement process.

He however maintains his call for an independent inquiry into the row within the Ministry of Public Works.
