ORDER RESTORED TO PRISON FOLLOWING RECENT UNREST – AG

Attorney General and Public Safety Minister, Hon. Steadroy Benjamin says order has been restored at His Majesty’s Prison.
This follows recent unrest fomented by some inmates, primarily over the food they were receiving.
The situation prompted a decision by the prison administration to impose a 24-hour lockdown, earlier this week.
Minister Benjamin tells ABS News the government has made significant strides in improving conditions at the prison.
