OVER 77% PASS RATE FOR 2025 CXC CSEC EXAMS

Students who sat the 2025 CXC CSEC examinations are celebrating a 77.4% pass rate this year. 

It is an improvement from the 76.6% recorded in 2024.  The top performances came in the subject areas of Additional Mathematics (100%), Religious Knowledge (100%), Physical Education and Sport (99.8%), Textiles, Clothing & Fashion (97.8%), and Food, Nutrition & Health (96.2%).  There was a pass rate of 85.7% for English A, a slight increase over the 2024 performance. 

However, there are lingering concerns over the pass rates of Mathematics (31.5%) and Geography (46.7%).  Also troubling is that only 19.5% of candidates passed five (5) or more subjects, including English A and Mathematics.
