PARLIAMENT POSTPONEMENT IN LIEU OF CABINET MEETING

The Parliamentary sitting scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025, has been postponed.

Director General of Communications within the Prime Minister’s Office, Maurice Merchant, says the delay is to facilitate a meeting of Cabinet Ministers on Thursday from 9:30am to 5pm.  His missive also notes the scheduled sitting of Parliament on that day will be postponed to a date in August 2025.  Thursday’s meeting should have seen a robust discussion on the planned investment of funds on behalf of the Social Security fund into the Jolly Beach Resort.  The public was previously invited to attend the sitting. That invitation, according to Merchant, will be offered again when the new date is confirmed in August.
