PASTOR ON TRIAL FOR ALLEGED SERIOUS INDECENCY AGAINST CONGREGANT

A sex offence trial is set to begin drawing to a close in the High Court on Wednesday.

A pastor is on trial on two counts of Serious Indecency, in connection with an alleged incident two years ago.

The 40-year-old man, who can’t be named unless he is convicted, is accused of having oral sex with an adult female member of his congregation without her consent, in March 2023.

The alleged incident took place at an apartment complex for which the pastor reportedly had responsibility.

The pastor is being represented by defence attorney Wendel Alexander.
