PEOPLE WITH EPILEPSY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE AFTER A YEAR OF NO SEIZURES – PROFESSOR
A call is being made for legislation to be drafted making it clear when people with epilepsy are able to drive on the nation’s roads.
Professor of neurology and paediatrics, Dr Dave Clarke believes they should be given the green light to drive after at least a year without having seizures.
The issue is receiving fresh focus as Antigua and Barbuda joins other countries around the world in observing November as epilepsy awareness month.
Dr clarke was a guest on ABS’ medical programme House Calls Tuesday evening.
