PLAY IT OUT TO PHASE IT OUT CONCERT – A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
Thousands turned out Saturday for the free play it out concern held to bring awareness to the effects of plastic pollution Saturday.
The event, which was held at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is an initiative supported by the President of the 73rd session of the General Assemble, Maria Fernando Espinosa Garces with funding from Norway.
The concert hosted by American actress Meagan Good and social media star Amanda Cerny saw performances by local, regional and international acts.
These included Grammy Award winner, Ashanti, Machel Montano and local Soca King, Rattigan.
Speaking at the concert, Prime Minister, the Hon. Gaston Browne said Antigua & Barbuda is holding itself and the rest of the world responsible and accountable to end plastic pollution.
“For every beat, every word and every movement made to music, we are committing and recommitting ourselves to play it out to phase it out”, he said.
