PM BROWNE EYES MDC STATUS FOR ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA IN CARICOM

Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Hon. Gaston Browne believes Antigua and Barbuda could emerge as one of Caricom’s More Developed Countries or MDCs within the next two decades.
He says this is predicated on continued robust socio-economic development.
Caricom’s MDCs include Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
The Prime Minister was speaking against the backdrop of the country climbing 17 places to 54th in the latest Human Development Index from the United Nations.
