PM BROWNE REACTS AS PROPOSAL FOR LEVY ON CHINESE-BUILT SHIPS SPOOKS REGION

Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says a trade proposal by the Trump administration remains a cause for concern for Antigua and Barbuda and the rest of the region.

Washington is mulling a levy of up to US$1.5 million on Chinese-built ships docking at US ports.

Prime Minister Browne tells ABS this would push up freight costs for imports to the region and result in trade disruptions.
