PM BROWNE REAFFIRMS GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE FOR JOLLY BEACH INVESTMENT

Prime Minister and Finance Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says his administration will ensure there will is no risk to the Social Security Board from the Jolly Beach Resort investment.

The head of government has reaffirmed that the Government will provide a written guarantee to the Social Security Scheme regarding the transfer of the resort to the scheme. He says the Government will also be willing to make adjustments if there are challenges, insisting there will be no exposure for the scheme in fulfilling its obligations to pensioners.

Prime Minister Browne has also chastized the main opposition United Progressive Party for its stance on the issue.
