PM DEPLORES SANCTIONS ON VENEZUELA AND CUBA; URGES REGION TO APPROACH VENEZUELA FOR ENERGY ASSISTANCE

Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says if Venezuela sends a shipment of petrol, Antigua and Barbuda will take it, despite tough sanctions on the South American country by the United States.
Prime Minister Browne also asserts countries of the region should approach Venezuela to assist regarding energy supplies.
His comments come as the region and the rest of the world face steep rises in petrol prices due to supply-demand imbalances.
