PM SOUNDS ALARM ABOUT ‘DEATH SENTENCE’ FOR SIDS FROM SEA LEVEL RISE

Prime Minister Hon, Gaston Browne has sounded the alarm about the existential threat of sea level rise to vulnerable Small Island Developing States, such as Antigua and Barbuda.

He says if this is not abated, it will constitute a veritable “death sentence” for SIDS.

The head of government was among speakers at a Leaders’ Breakfast in New York on Wednesday, on the margins of 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
