PM Spencer Goes Forward with The ECCC ,Despite Warnings of Risky Undertaking

Despite warnings that Medical Tourism is a risky undertaking, officials in Antigua are forging ahead with the Eastern Caribbean Cancer Centre.

Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer says that a partnership with renowned medical equipment supplier, Elekta speaks volumes for the quality of care expected to be provided, when the facility under construction is completed.

Board Chairman of the Mount St. Johns Medical Center, Milton Pringle, says accreditation is being sorted out and describes the prospects of transnational medical care as rewarding for the country.

CEO of the multimillion dollar project, Dr. Conville Brown, says clinical research will be one of four major pillars of the operations.

Government and the private sector have already signed the dotted line to ensure the project’s success.
