PM Spencer says Cricket’s future rests with the Youths
The nation’s leader has expressed the view that the future of cricket in Antigua and Barbuda rests with the youth.
Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Baldwin Spencer, says government is committed to the development of the sport in the twin island state.
He says the development of the youth game is the most important way to ensure that Antigua and Barbuda’s cricketers are in the Windies team in the future.
He adds that government has made it a priority across the country to improve playing facilities and other opportunities for young people, adding that there is still more work to be done.
The nation’s leader says he is immensely proud that his government has been involved in the process of investment and modernization that has brought the West Indian cricket team back to Antigua for the first time in a number of years.
