PM TO DISCUSS DE-RISKING IN THE US NEXT WEEK

Prime Minister, Hon. Gaston Browne is to address the issue of de-risking when he addresses high-ranking figures in North America next week.

Large banks in Europe and North America engage in de-risking when they cut correspondent banking relationships with respondent banks in the region.
The banks claim there is a high risk they will be exposed to transactions involving money laundering or terrorism financing.
However, Prime Minister Browne says these claims are unfounded.
