POLICE CONSTABLE SHOT AND INJURED IN POTTERS

A police constable is now receiving treatment in hospital after being shot four times in Potters Monday morning. It is alleged that the constable received information shortly after 1:30am about masked gunmen in the area and went to investigate. He confronted at least two masked men, who opened fire as they were running from the lawman. The constable was shot four times, including in both of his thighs. The gunmen escaped on foot. The constable is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.
