POLICE PROBE TWO ROBBERIES SATURDAY EVENING

Three clergymen were robbed Saturday evening when armed robbers entered their homes on Stapleton Lane in St John’s.

The three priests were at home sometime before 8, when two masked men armed with guns gained entry.

The priests were robbed of an undisclosed sum of money, cellphones and other valuables.

Meanwhile, police are probing another robbery incident Saturday evening.

A couple was robbed by two men brandishing knives at the Botanical Gardens.

The couple from Golden Grove had just bought food and sat down to eat when the men pounced, robbing them of an undisclosed sum of money, their cellular phones and crucial documents.

Police are asking anyone with information about any of these crimes to tell investigators.
