POLICE OFFICER ADMITS TO SEXUAL OFFENCE

A Police Officer has admitted to having sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old girl.

Fifty-year-old Newton Slack pleaded guilty in the High Court this morning.

The officer committed the offence on the child July 23, 2017 in Herberts.

The court has ordered a victim impact statement to assess how the crime has affected the child.

Slack has been cautioned to expect a stiff penalty when he is sentenced on the 5^th of July.
