POLICE RECEIVE DONATION FROM THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has received a crucial donation of electronic equipment from The People’s Republic of China.

The donated items include laptop and desktop computers, projectors and a projector screen, wifi routers and other pieces of equipment that will enhance the force’s modernization efforts.

The handover was made by China’s ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, Zhang Yangling, to Acting Police Commissioner, Everton Jeffers.

The acting commissioner has expressed gratitude for the donation, which he says represents more than the provision of tools, but also the deep and enduring friendship between Antigua and Barbuda and The People’s Republic of China.

Governor General, Sir Rodney Williams, was also present during the ceremony and congratulated the government and people of The People’s Republic of China.
