POLICE REPORT 10% REDUCTION IN OVERALL CRIMES IN FIRST 10 MONTHS OF 2025

Latest crime statistics from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda show an overall reduction of 10.3 per cent in reported crimes for the first ten months of 2025, compared to the same period last year.

However, there were increased reports of Indecent Assault, Aggravated Robbery and Sacrilege.

There were 10 murders in the first 10 months of this year, one fewer than the same period last year.

Director-General of Communications in the Prime Minister’s Office Maurice Merchant says cabinet discussed the figures on Wednesday, focusing on the need to intensify enforcement and community engagement.
