PORT AUTHORITY EXAMINES SAFETY ENFORCEMENT IN THE WAKE OF TRAGEDY

The Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority is to tighten enforcement of safety measures in the wake of an accident last month which resulted in the death of an employee of Carib Seas.
Denroy Harrigan succumbed to injuries sustained after a reversing truck at the cargo port at Deep Water Harbour pinned him against a container on July 18.
Port Manager Darwin Telemaque has provided the update, while paying tribute to the deceased stevedore.
