PRICES AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS DELUGED WITH CALLS OVER EGG PRICES

The Prices and Consumer Affairs Division has commented on the increasing number of queries and complaints it has been receiving about the price of eggs.

The Government has moved to remove restrictions on imports of the commodity for the next 60 days to contain the escalation in prices.

It has also required the Layer Farmers Association to defer the $2.00 increase in the wholesale price for a dozen eggs.
