PRIME MINISTER BROWNE MAKES CLIMATE JUSTICE CASE AT INTERNATIONAL TRIBUNAL
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne opened oral pleadings in a historic push for climate justice at the International Tribunal for the Law Of the Sea, in the German city of Hamburg on Monday.
It is being seen as the first climate justice case aimed at protecting the ocean, as Prime Minister Browne stressed the importance of the oceans to the nations at the greatest risk from the perils of climate change.
He was speaking in his capacity as co-chair of the Commission of Small Island States on Climate Change and International law, COSIS.
