PRIME MINISTER BROWNE REACTS WITH SADNESS TO SHINZO ABE ASSASSINATION
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has joined other leaders around the world in expressing shock over the assassination of Japan’s former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe.
Abe died in hospital after he was shot while he was giving a speech at a political event in the city of Nara Friday morning.
Prime Minister Browne said he met former Prime Minister Abe in Trinidad and Tobago in 2014, while he was chairman of Caricom.
He said insighftul discussions were held regarding strengthening bilateral relations between Antigua and Barbuda and Japan as well as between Japan and Caricom.
