PRIME MINISTER BROWNE SAYS LIAT 1974 LTD MIGHT BE LIQUIDATED
Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne has painted a bleak picture for the future of Antigua-based LIAT 1974 Ltd.
Speaking on his radio show on Pointe FM Saturday, the Prime Minister says effects of the COVID-19 pandemic might put the proverbial final nail in the coffin of the struggling regional airline.
He says if a new entity is created, he hopes the name LIAT will be maintained and the headquarters remain in Antigua & Barbuda.
In the meantime, the Prime Minister says the formation of a new entity should be done as soon as possible.
