PRIME MINISTER FLAYS OPPOSITION OVER NO-SHOW FOR BUDGET DEBATE
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says the Parliamentary Opposition’s absence from the budget debate on Tuesday was a “copout”.
He also lambasted the lawmakers for a “lack of capacity” and a “waste of taxpayers’ funds” when they chose to stay away.
The Prime Minister was concluding the debate on the Appropriations Bill (No. 2) of 2023, which contains the Government’s spending plans for the 2024 Fiscal Year.
The Finance Minister also touted what he said have been unprecedented levels of investment for the country, under his administration.
