PRIME MINISTER PLEASED WITH TOURISM BOOST FROM HOME-PORTING
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has welcomed Saturday’s arrival of the largest cruise ship to dock in Antigua to date, the Arvia. The vessel is using the twin-island state as a home port, meaning the country is serving as a point of boarding for new passengers, while others have ended their cruise journey in St John’s.
Prime Minister Browne visited the fifth cruise berth Saturday afternoon to see the home-porting operations firsthand.
He is delighted with the progress made, and says this is one barometer of the performance of his administration.
