PRIME MINISTER RESPONDS TO OBSERVER IN MAX HURST SAGA

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party administration says it will not engage with Newsco if it insists on refusing Chief of Staff in the Prime Minister’s Office Ambassador Lionel Hurst access to Observer’s airways.
Prime Minister Browne said he was told by a staff member about four weeks ago the media house was planning on banning Ambassador Hurst from its airways.
The Prime Minister says Ambassador Hurst sits in cabinet meetings, writes the cabinet notes and knows the issues.
He says if the Observer bans Ambassador Hurst, it will effectively ban the governing Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party.
