PRIME MINISTER SAYS HAROLD LOVELL WAS AMONG ANTIGUAN OFFICIALS WHO MET WITH ODEBRECHT
A dossier with information relating to the Odebrecht saga is to be tabled at Parliament’s next sitting.
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne made the announcement as he addressed Parliament’s Lower House on Thursday.
He told fellow lawmakers that former leader of the United Progressive Party, Harold Lovell, had met with officials of the Brazilian company, Odebrecht.
Odebrecht has been enmeshed in a transnational graft scandal, which led to ‘Operation Carwash’, a sweeping investigation which sought to uncover the actions of its officials who sough to bribe officials to secure public projects.
