Prison Officials To Construct Isolation Cells
Six isolation cells will be constructed at Her Majesty’s Prison.
This was the announcement from Prison Superintendent, Albert Wade, as families and friends, in a recent meeting, expressed concern over the restricted diet while an inmate is in isolation.
The man at the helm made it known that while attempting to make life a bit easier for inmates, family and friends, with some relaxed visitation policies, rules must be upheld.
Wade assured the meeting that the restricted diet has not been imposed for a long time and is not used without the approval of medical personnel.
Presently, the superintendent notes, with the absence of isolation cells, the restricted diet cannot be enforced since cell mates would share their snacks with the inmate being penalized.
Wade adds that the drawings are complete and awaiting a contractor to be selected by the Ministry of Public Works.
To further cement adherence to the rules, he says cell phones confiscated from inmates will be examined at the Regional Cyber Investigation Laboratory.
Upon completion, persons whose numbers are found in said mobile device would be seen as encouraging inmates to break the rules and hence be barred from the facility.
