PROBE ORDERED INTO 2004 BABY SAGA
The Health Ministry has opened a probe to determine what happened to twin babies born at the Holberton hospital in 2004.
Keoma Hamer, a native of Guyana and a naturalized Dutch citizen, used a recent facebook post to indicate she gave birth to the babies in September that year.
Hamer says she was told they died, but no details were provided.
She claims she received new information three years ago which fueled her suspicion that the children may be alive.
Health Minister the Hon. Molwyn Joseph has indicated that once it was brought to his attention, he ordered an immediate investigation.
Hamer has reportedly requested records from the period during her stay at the hospital.
We will have more on this story as more information becomes available.
