PROGRESS REPORT PROVIDED ON EFFORTS TO REMOVE ALFA NERO FROM US SANCTIONS LIST

Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders has reported steady progress in efforts to have the United States lift sanctions from the Alfa Nero superyacht. This is required before the Government of Antigua and Barbuda can auction the vessel, as its reputed owner is a sanctioned Russian oligarch.
Sir Ronald tells ABS News in an exclusive interview the diplomatic engagement with US officials have progressed well, with attention now being given to addressing administrative matters related to the vessel.
