Prosecution: Driver Will Put Accused Men at Nigel Christian’s Home
Prosecutors in the Nigel Christian murder trial say a key witness will testify that they drove the accused men to Christian’s home on July 10, 2020.
During his opening statement, DPP Clement Joseph told jurors the Crown has no eyewitness to the shooting and will rely heavily on circumstantial evidence, including CCTV footage tracing the route of the Customs vehicle that they say the defendants used to abduct Christian.
The prosecution alleges Wayne Thomas, Saleim Harrigan, and Lasean Bully kidnapped Christian from his home, took him to Thibou’s, killed him there, and later abandoned the vehicle in a separate wooded area.
Joseph warned the trial could be lengthy and that autopsy evidence may be graphic, urging jurors not to decide the case on emotion.
