PUBLIC SAFETY MINISTER BATS FOR CORPORAL TO BE PROMOTED

Attorney General and Public Safety Minister, Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin has praised the work ethic of Police Welfare Association Chairman, Corporal Marilyn Harris.

He called for her to be promoted, during his presentation at the opening ceremony for the Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations, being hosted by Antigua and Barbuda.

    I am suggesting that you should have a quiet word with members of the PSC as she had acted Sergeant before as far back as 2017. I am just wondering whether you have spoken to the Commissioner and requested that the Administration recommend her for promotion, just a thought. This forum is not the place to mention these sort of bad faith suggestions as the COP reports to you on daily basis, this comment is rather hypocritical and self serving. Ms. Harris continue to keep the faith.
