PUBLIC SAFETY MINISTER DELIVERS STINGING RETORT TO POLICE WELFARE ASSOCIATION

Attorney General and Public Safety Minister Hon. Steadroy Benjamin has asserted some members of the Police Welfare Association have been playing politics, in a strong response to recent claims from the group.
Minister Benjamin says members recently maligned the government on a radio station by saying it is uncaring and has not provided insurance coverage for police officers.
He produced evidence which he said contradicted those claims.
