PUBLIC SAFETY MINISTER ISSUES WARNING TO PARENTS ON CURFEW FOR MINORS

There is a warning to parents of minors, as the security forces prepare to ramp up enforcement of a curfew for minors between 10pm and 6am.

Attorney General and Minister for Public Safety, Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin says parents must ensure they don’t place themselves in legal jeopardy.

The 10 pm to 6 am curfew came into effect in October last year as part of amendments to the Small Charges Act passed in Parliament.

Under these changes, parents will face fines up to XCD$5,000.00 if their children violate the curfew.
