Relaxed curfew extended until 14th May

The curfew has been extended until 14th May but government is now allowing more hours in the day for certain businesses to operate.
The announcement was made earlier this evening by Information Minister the Honourable Melford Nicholas following today’s meeting of Cabinet.
This time members of the public will have between 6am and 6pm to get to certain businesses like supermarkets, meat markets, pharmacies, and wholesalers. Construction companies will be allowed to operate during this period.

Minister Nicholas says government will encourage banks to operate beyond a three day period.

Meantime, government has decided to ease up on the restrictions imposed on restaurants and fast food outlets. Take out orders and drive through restaurants may now resume business.

Restrictions remain on the beaches and sole proprietors in the beauty business.
