REPARATIONS ADVOCATE WEIGHS IN ON REPUBLICANISM DEBATE

Antigua and Barbuda Reparations Support Commission chairman, Ambassador Dorbrene O’Marde says becoming a republic will put the country in better stead to secure reparations for the ills of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
He was one of the panelists for the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus’ public advocacy series titled ‘to be or not to be – the case for republicanism’.
